John F. Hann Sr. Owner/Funeral Director

John F. Hann Sr. has been a licensed funeral director for more than 40 years. A graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1967, John has helped many families in and around the Bridgeview area cope with the loss of a loved one. A life-long resident of Burbank, John attended Tobin Grammar School (1952) and Reavis High School (1956).

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. He and his wife, Sharon raised their three children, Brenda, John Jr. and Jennifer in St. Albert the Great Parish.

John is a member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association. He is a dedicated parishioner at St. Fabian Catholic Church, an Eucharistic Minister, Minister of Care, member of the financial committee, and also member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree.

John takes great pride in working with his son and serving Bridgeview and its surrounding communities.

John F. Hann Jr grew up in Burbank. He graduated from St. Albert the Great Grammar School (1981) and St. Laurence High School (1985). After high school, John worked at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn for nine years before graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science (1994).

John is extremely proud of his two children, Megan, who is currently attending the University of Illinois and is studying to become a Veterinarian and Evan, who is currently a student at Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL. John attends weekend services at Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park. Every week John takes the lessons he learns and applies them to his life. He is most proud that Christ has called him to serve families through funeral service.

Maureen L. Peterson will be one of the first faces you’ll see when you step in our facility. With 14 years of funeral home experience, she is equipped to help you complete paperwork, find answers and make this emotional process easier to maneuver. Maureen always has time to lend an ear, as she listens to each families’ individualized needs. Maureen and her husband have called Palos Hills home for more than 20 years.

Rosemary Brinza Funeral Director Apprentice/ Certified Cremation Specialist

Rosemary Brinza was hired in October 2017 as a Funeral Director Apprentice and is currently working on becoming a Licensed Funeral Director. She graduated Worsham College of Mortuary Science in September of 2017. She was a member of Pi Sigma Eta, which is a National Mortuary Honors Fraternity and was a recipient of the Funeral Service foundation Memorial Classic Scholarship. Rosemary grew up in Lagrange and Attended Lyons Township Highschool. In her spare time she loves cooking, spending time with family, and traveling.

Vince Vogel Funeral Assistant

Vince Vogel has been part of the Hann Funeral Home Team since 2009. Working as a funeral assistant, his roll is important to the support of our professional staff as well as serving our families during visitations. He makes sure families and their guests are comfortable and cared for throughout their time at Hann Funeral Home.

Vince’s background as a Eucharistic Minister, Minister to the Sick, and Lecturer at St. Fabian Parish in Bridgeview, gives him the compassion and empathy to be of service in many ways to our families. A proud participant to the Knights of Columbus, Vince has achieved the status of 4th Degree Member. This allows him to specialize in organizing the unique ceremonies and prayers afforded all brother knights, for their services. Vince will be happy to answer any questions concerning such a service for your loved one. To quote Vince, “I am proud to be working for Hann Funeral Home, in bringing a kind word and helping hand to the families we serve.”

Paul Hardy

Paul Hardy, is a graduate of J.F Kennedy HS and has his certification in HVAC from Coyne American Institute, being a 22 year member of the United Steelworkers, until he became part of the funeral industry in 1990. Assisting the directors when needed, Paul handles the day-to-day maintenance operations of our facility, and can always be relied upon to share a smile and helping hand to all our families. Paul and his wife are longtime Burbank residents.
